when i was 13 i was on the river and a raft was stuck on a rock and me and my bff yelled RAMMING SPEED and fucking took off straight at them in our inflatable tandem kayak and knocked them off the rock, then 6 years later i watched animal house and went "that's where that's from???"*
Who knows where I picked up ramming speed but I love animal house. The sex jokes have aged like milk which adds to the overall vibe for me. Donald Sutherland is so fun as the pot smoker professor and otter (the gay one who loves women and has a dr bag full of sex toys) is so charming and such A Guy that they make the movie for me. I also really like the guy with the mustache who rides the motorcycle up the stairs and I love when otter reads the obituaries to pick up a fake sympathy date. I do not like the director john landis because he was responsible for the decapitations of three people (two of whom were child actors illegally working at night) by fucking helicopter on a twilight zone movie because he wanted the explosions to look cooler going off close to the helicopter. Overall, love animal house and donald sutherland and all the good silly parts, hate john landis and all the rape jokes. The scene with the gun blanks and the horse KILLS ME and i think its the funniest part of the whole movie.
* i am aware ramming speed is actually from some old ass movie like julius caesar but there's no way whoever i got it from didn't get it from animal house
